Safety Center
KindredGospel should feel like a safe church family. Here's how we protect you — and how you can help.
For parents & teens (13–17)
- KindredGospel is for ages 13 and up. Everyone gives their date of birth when signing up.
- Teens can only be found by, friend, or message adults who belong to the same church or small group on KindredGospel. Strangers can't search for them or see their profile.
- Teens' names are hidden on public prayer requests and testimonies — only their friends and church see who shared.
- Phone numbers, emails, links and invitations to other apps are blocked in any conversation involving a teen.
- Messages and comments from adults to teens get an extra safety check. Anything inappropriate is blocked before it's delivered and our moderators are alerted.
- Teen posts are shared with friends or their church, never the whole app.
Parents: a great setup is for your teen to join your church's group on KindredGospel, so the adults they connect with are people your church knows.
Family link: your teen can link your account from Family. You'll see who they're friends with and who they message (not the message contents), approve new friendships if you'd like, turn off private messages or posting, and get alerts if anything is blocked for their safety.
Spotting scams
- No one from KindredGospel will ever ask for money, gift cards, or your password.
- Be careful with anyone who quickly asks for money, crypto or gift cards — even for a “ministry” or an emergency.
- Watch for people who move fast emotionally, then ask you to talk on another app.
- Real churches on KindredGospel show a verified badge. Give only through your church's official website.
- Payment links are blocked in posts and prayers, and new accounts can't post links for their first few days.
Report, block, and get help
- Tap Report on any post, prayer, comment or message. Reports are private. If several people report something, it's hidden right away until a moderator reviews it.
- Block anyone from their profile — you'll stop seeing each other everywhere.
- Choose who sees each prayer request: everyone, friends, or your church — and hide your name anytime.
- Need us? Use the Contact page and choose “Safety concern.”
